Subdivision/Tidelands & Wetlands

Subdivision Maps filed with the County Clerk are available for public inspection.

Tidelands & Wetlands Delineation Maps prepared by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection are also available for inspection.

Notary Services

You can apply to be a Notary Public, renew your Notary Commission or change your name and address related to your Notary Commission online at the State of New Jersey website.

After you complete the online application or renewal to become a Notary, the State of New Jersey will mail you a green colored Commission form.

You will need to come to any one of our offices for our staff to administer the Oath of Office.

You will need to bring with you:
  • Green commission form from the State of New Jersey
  • $15.00 fee payable to the Ocean County Clerk by check, cash, money order or credit card (MasterCard, Visa or Discover).
  • Picture Identification with your Ocean County address like your valid Driver’s License.
    • Please call our office with any questions about other proofs of residency or if you registered as an “out of State Notary” but work here in Ocean County.

County Photo ID Cards

Ocean County residents who do not have any form of photo identification and are seeking a Photo ID Card can obtain one by:

Veteran's Services

Schedule an appointment online to register your DD-214 or Honorable Discharge papers to obtain a Veteran Card or a Veteran Peddler’s License.

Photo Cards

Honorably discharged veterans residing in Ocean County can now obtain a free photo card from the Ocean County Clerk’s Office. With this card, there is no doubt about the holder’s veteran status.

How to obtain a card
Veterans must provide his or her DD-214 or other Honorable Discharge papers at the following Ocean County Clerk Offices:
  • Ocean County Courthouse, 118 Washington St., Toms River. Room 107 first floor.
    (732) 929-2032. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm.
  • Southern Service Center, 179 South Main Street, Manahawkin. Room 106.
    (609) 597-1500. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm.
  • County Connection, Ocean County Mall, 1201 Hooper Ave. near JCPenney entrance.
    (732) 288-7777. Hours are Monday – Thursday 10am-7:30pm, Friday – Saturday 10am-8:30pm. Sunday 11am-5:30pm
Note: The Cards are not designed to replace federal veteran identification needed to access government programs such as VA hospitals and clinics. It is also not a REAL ID.

MILITARY DISCHARGES

DD-214 and other Honorable Discharge forms that were previously filed with the Ocean County Clerk’s Office are available upon request at no charge for the Veteran. You can contact the above offices to get your certified copy.

VETERAN PEDDLER’S LICENSE

Veterans residing in Ocean County may apply for a Veteran Peddler’s License at the above offices.
